Issue: SSO Button Not Appearing
If you're not seeing the "Login to Pterodactyl" button on your service page, follow these steps:
Check Extension Configuration
- Go to Admin Panel → Extensions → Servers
- Find the PterodactylSSO extension
- Verify the following settings are configured:
- Pterodactyl URL: Your panel URL (e.g.,
https://panel.example.com) - Pterodactyl API Key: Valid application API key
- SSO Secret Key: The secret key from your Pterodactyl SSO setup
- Pterodactyl URL: Your panel URL (e.g.,
Test with New Service
Create a new test service using the PterodactylSSO extension to verify:
- The server is created successfully
- The
user_idproperty is stored - The SSO button appears
Common Issues and Solutions
Issue: "SSO is not configured"
Cause: SSO Secret Key is not set in extension settings
Solution: Add the SSO secret key to the extension configuration
Issue: "User ID not found"
Cause: Service was created before SSO was configured
Solution:
- Recreate the server, OR
- Manually add the
user_idproperty to the service
Issue: SSO Button Appears but Login Fails
Causes and Solutions:
- Invalid SSO Secret: Verify the secret matches Pterodactyl configuration
- User doesn't exist in Pterodactyl: Check if user was created during server creation
- SSO package not installed: Verify
wemx/sso-pterodactylis installed on Pterodactyl - Using Admin account: Accounts with admin permissions cant be used in SSO
