Share pages and Page Marketplace
Share pages with controlled visibility, import shared drafts, and use the Page Marketplace.
Share complete pages with controlled visibility, import shared drafts, and use Page Marketplace previews, downloads, and forks.
PageDesigner can package an entire page, including its canvas content and page metadata, for another licensed installation. Page Marketplace makes public packages discoverable.
Component sharing versus page sharing
| Share | Contains |
|---|---|
| Component | One selected reusable section |
| Page | The complete PageDesigner page package |
In both cases, the recipient gets an independent copy. Later edits do not synchronize.
Fast page share from the editor
The top toolbar's Share Page action saves the current canvas and creates a page share through the Hosted service.
Use it for a simple handoff after:
- Saving.
- Reviewing full Preview.
- Removing private and unfinished content.
- Checking image and copy redistribution rights.
For explicit visibility and version controls, use the page record workflow below.
Share from the page record
- Open the page record.
- Select Share Page.
- Confirm that uploading the page package is intended.
- Choose a visibility.
- Enter a version.
- Create the share link.
Visibility
| Visibility | Intended audience |
|---|---|
| Unlisted | Anyone with the link can import |
| Public | Discoverable in Page Marketplace |
| Account | Available to eligible licensed accounts |
| Private | Restricted to the originating account |
Choose Public only for a polished, reusable page that is safe for broad discovery.
Version
The version identifies the shared package, not the public page URL. Use a consistent scheme such as 1, 2, or 2026.07.
Import a shared page
- Open Extensions → Page Designer.
- Select Import Page.
- Paste the page share link or UID.
- Select Import.
- PageDesigner creates a separate unpublished page and opens it for review.
The imported slug is made unique when needed.
Mandatory import review
- Check the title and slug.
- Replace all sample text, media, plans, prices, dates, and links.
- Review translations.
- Review SEO and social-sharing fields.
- Check the custom-code slots.
- Check desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Test full Preview.
- Publish only after approval.
Browse Page Marketplace
Open Page Marketplace from the Page Designer list.
Each card can include:
- Preview image.
- Title.
- Version.
- Updated date.
- Downloaded state.
Available actions:
- Preview — render the package for inspection without creating a public local page.
- Download draft — create a new unpublished local page.
- Fork & edit — create another independent local draft from a package already downloaded.
- Refresh — request the current public marketplace listing.
- Local Pages — return to the Page Designer list.
Download draft versus Fork & edit
Download draft is the first local copy of a marketplace package.
Fork & edit creates an additional independent draft from a package you already downloaded. Use it to preserve one local direction while trying another.
Neither action publishes or overwrites an existing page.
Sharing safety checklist
- No customer data, credentials, internal notes, or private URLs.
- No unreleased offers or temporary test content.
- Media and copy can legally be redistributed.
- Links make sense outside the originating installation.
- Page-level custom code has been reviewed.
- The visibility matches the intended audience.
- The package version is meaningful.
- The page has been checked in Preview.
Public visibility is a distribution decision. Make a cleaned, reusable copy before sharing when the original page contains installation-specific content.
Common failures
Import reports an invalid link
Paste the complete share URL or UID. Remove surrounding punctuation introduced by email or chat.
A public package is missing
Refresh the marketplace, clear the search, and confirm the package was shared with Public visibility.
Imported buttons point to the old site
Imports preserve content. Replace installation-specific URLs and test every call to action.
Preview works but download fails
The account may have view permission without download permission, the license may not include the operation, or the package verification/download request may have failed. Ask an administrator to review permissions, license status, and application logs.
